The Scarborough Bluffs: "I didn't even know this place existed."
That's what most people say when they visit our neighborhood for the first time. The Scarborough Bluffs are truly awe inspiring. If you didn't know this neighborhood existed, you could be forgiven for overlooking it. Once you discover it, however, you'll most certainly be back time and time again. Located high on a cliff overlooking Lake Ontario, Toronto's Scarborough Bluffs showcase an incredibly diverse mix of plant and animal life - not far from the City Centre. Several well established marinas & private yacht clubs serve the dedicated boating community. And the beach is a popular destination for local residents as well as those living further afield. Countless trails allow hikers and cyclists to weave in and around this spectacular cliffside community.
The housing stock has changed over time. Traditionally, Scarborough Bluffs has been a community of low rise bungalows and ranch style houses situated on more than ample lots, but a drive through the canopied streets here reveals many newer and much larger homes designed to meet the demands of today's modern families. The well respected schools are a big draw too. I think the Scarborough Bluffs are spectacular any time of year. So why not drive by and see for yourself?
